9318-19. At 8:30 AM on December 31, 1901, the French bark Asie (home port Rochelle, France) careened at Davidge's wharf (on the west bank of Portland harbor near the Albina ferry, north of the Steel bridge) as the sand ballast was being removed by the stevedore gang.
