The building is next to the monument erected on the spot where Oregon’s territorial government was born, on May 2, 1843. The building is still standing, although the riverboat signs are now at the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria. "Champoeg Riverboat Signs" was exhibited at Portland Art Museum in February, 1950.
